Human Eye: It is a sensory organ that gives us sensory information in the form of image or visuals.

Parts of Human eye
There are important nine parts of human eye. Following are the names and working of the parts of a human eye.
1. Sclera
Sclera is the outermost layer of human eye. It protects the eye from any kind of injury.
2. Choroid
Choroid is beneath the sclera. It is reddish and thicker. The reason behind reddish color is that it contains capillaries (blood vessels). Choroid is involved in the nourishment of eye.
3. Cornea
Cornea is a transparent layer. The light waves interacts with cornea first. It is also responsible for the bending of light waves.
4. Iris
It is a pigmented muscle. It controls the movement of pupil.
5. Pupil
It is a small hole from where light enters into the eye.
6. Lens
It receives light coming from pupil. It works with cornea to help in focusing the light correctly on retina.
7. Photoreceptor
It has two cells; cons and rods. It converts light waves into image. The formation of image is on retina.
8. Optic Nerve
It transmits the image to brain and brain recognizes the image
9. Aqueous and vitreous humor
This is a fluid filled region. It helps to filter the dust particles or any other thing inside the eyes.
