Human Eye : It is a sensory organ that gives us sensory information in the form of image or visuals. Human Eye Parts of Human eye There are important nine parts of human eye. Following are the names and working of the parts of a human eye. 1. Sclera Sclera is the outermost layer of human eye. It protects the eye from any kind of injury. 2. Choroid Choroid is beneath the sclera. It is reddish and thicker. The reason behind reddish color is that it contains capillaries (blood vessels). Choroid is involved in the nourishment of eye. 3. Cornea Cornea is a transparent layer. The light waves interacts with cornea first. It is also responsible for the bending of light waves. 4. Iris It is a pigmented muscle. It controls the movement of pupil. 5. Pupil It is a small hole from where light enters into the eye. 6. Lens It receives light coming from pupil.
